has anyone seen this movie??
in a rating 1-5, i give it only a 2...
i don't know if it's having a bias already for the movie "300" but i don't think so. the movie wasn't convincing.. it came off to me as a play that was shot with a camera. you can detect the accents of the actors that they don't become believable as people of this native tribe.. Apocalypto by Mel Gibson is much better...

4.5 from my side. 300 is an absolutely terrific movie. the attitude, the valour the spartans display send a chill down my spine. so much to keep their honour. they challenged and even demured a person who projected himself as god. i think they were bogged down by the wrong priests who just had no respect for these warriors. my personal favorite line in the movie when the king says : SPARTANS NEVER RETREAT!!!!!!!!!!. the greatest sequence when the king as a young lad fights the beast and also , when he kicks the intruder into the well..

The movie is cringingly awful. The movie continues to move without explaining a thing or setting anything up. Suddenly the main character has skills that surpass those of the Vikings and he suddenly knows camoflauge without ever even practicing it..
The movie has soo many loopholes that you could practically play Miniature Golf on it's surface. I found it strangely odd how the Indians could speak perfect English when the movie is supposed to take place BEFORE any American or English person even set foot on the Americas.
Even the action sequences aren't enthrawling.. You find yourself laughing at the horrible dialogue, wondering why you came in the first place and what you could have seen instead.
Its all poorly plotted and paced. Looking around my theater near the middle of the movie, I noticed alot of cell phone backlights, an obvious sign of boredom. I was checking mine too, hoping it wouldn't waste more of my time. I had forgotten how much I hate CGI blood... especially when it's done as bad as in this film.
Basically the movie could have been a short documentary on Discovery Channel had it not been for the lame acting, dialogue, and action scenes..
You'll do well to take a huge PASS on this film.
