Do you search first?

Before you start a new discussion, do you first search to see if someone has posted an almost identical topic to the one you wish to post? I would think that would be the logical thing to do, but it seems a lot of people do not bother to search. I can understand an occasional memory lapse when you're really excited to post something so you forget to do a search, but I don't see why so many new duplicate discussions are being posted when it is relatively easy to do a search to find out if someone has already posted a discussion on your proposed topic. I know the search feature may not have worked well in the past but it works well enough now. There should be fewer duplicate discussions.
