Another credit card issue!

The recent problems with Marshall's and TJ Maxx's computer system and subsequent hacking into their files, once again the consumer is looking at possible problems with their credit cards, debit cards and such. The funny part is, most people are afraid to use their cards ONLINE more then anything while most frauds and security issues have been hackers getting into the banking systems at the actual bank or store levels, not online! Has anyone at MyLot been alerted to their card being one of the cards and information stolen? Just curious.

Oh yes, I was breached 4 times last year and only one of them was online. It seemed like every few weeks, I was getting a new card in the mail because of this. My credit union automatically sends out a new card when there has been an announcement of a breach. But the problem is, you are out of town and now you have no money, cause your card is no longer active. It is getting old, I feel like I should have a separate card and account at another bank so that I am always prepared.

This is a shame, herd it on the news today. This is not sending a good message to their customers. Hope these banks update their security systems.

Thank heavens I am not one of those people who shop at either of these stores. It is really scary how many large companies, bank and evev military files are being hacked into.
