Do you love New Orleans?

I love the memories of many lazy, crazy strolls along the Riverwalk with friends, often ending at Cafe Du Monde at all hours of the night. I love hearing jazz music almost anywhere you go. I love the slow-paced, devil may care attitude of its inhabitants. I love that the smells of the French Quarter can make you hungry even if you have just finished a five course meal. I love that a stroll through the garden district can make a romantic out of anyone. I love oysters on the half shell opened for you at Felix's. I love that a cold beer and a bowl of gumbo shared with a friend can be a life time memory. I love New Orleans ladies, cajun queens, basin street blues, breakfast at Muthers and I love looking forward to Jazz Festival each year even though I have never even attended. Do you know what I mean? Do you love New Orleans?

I do not live in New Orleans. I live very close while growing up and when I was in college. I went very often back then but don't get to go as often anymore. Mardi Gras is a very big deal in New Orleans..... they really go all out celebrating it with parades and parties like you would not believe. Jazz Festival is something different entirely. It is a weekend long outdoor concert with some of the great Jazz performers in the world and awesome food being served up and just a wonderful time is had by all. You should definitely visit someday. You will leave with lasting memories.
