Iran's main opposite movement is the National Council of Resistance of Iran. They have been notorious for unveiling secrets behind Iran's goverment in the past.
They have just reported that Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps had planned the recent capture of 15 British marines and naval personnel and are holding the group in an effort to gain concessions from the West.
A unit of the IRGC Navy's 3rd regional command based in Khorramshahr Garrison executed the premieditated operation to capture the Britons on March 23, says NCRI at a press conference in London.
They state Rear Admiral Rashid Hosseini, the commander of the IRGC Navy's third regional command, personally had command of the operation to arrest the British sailors. A number of IRGC Navy commanders had previously been stationed in Khorramshahr. Colonel Badin was the operational commander based in Khorramshahr at the time of the arrests.
The NCRI says that Rear Admiral Morteze Safari, commander of the IRGC Navy, was in contact with Rear Admiral Hosseini as the operation was taking place. Real Admiral Safari is one of a number of IRGC commanders who were brought udner sanctions under UN council resolution 1747 in March.
A command ofrce comprised of representatives of the ministries of intelligence and foreighn affairs in coordination with the IRGC Joint Chiefs of Staff under the dreict supervision of the Iran's Supreme National Security Council is presently following up the case of the sailors.
Information smuggled out of Iran by a NCRI spy stated, "The clerical regime had in a premiditated act arrested British sailors in order to win concessions from the international community and divert attention from its nuclear projects. Claims that the sailors were arrested in Iranian territorial waters are baseless."
What is your opinion of the Council of Nation Resitance of Iran organization? Should they be removed from their U.S. and britain terror listings?
