Stop Wax Waning. To stop candles dripping, chill them in the fridge for a few hours before lighting. Button Box Bonanza Keep a box to store spare buttons which come with clothing, Write a description of the item and tape the button to it. This way you'll find all your replacement buttons quickly. Sand Sparkles As a special treat fro your toddler, purchase some inexpensive glitter fro a discount store and sprinkle it over the sand in their sandpit. They will love it!!

oh oh great idea - I love the button idea but it just popped in my head, index cards and an index or recipe box would work great. Could even alphabetize them and when you get rid of a piece of clothing pull the card and put the button in the 'junk button jar' or something. I am going to do this as I am always sticking buttons in my dresser drawer and then forget they are there or find them years later when I no longer have the item.

Hi Byfaithonly, well I am happy that you liked the idea and it is so much more easier if we can find the button when we need them as especially if we put something nice on to wear and the button has just come off as it only takes minutes to sew it back on.

Most of the spare buttons for my new garments come in their own little baggy, often with thread or yarn included. The key is to have a home for them, and to label each baggy.Your button box would be a great help. To entertain small children you can have a portable sand box, a covered large tub, that you can bring in the house. If you do sprinkle glitter, make sure it is not the metal or glass kind but the acrylic sparkles, as the others are hurtful to the eyes.
