This Kid Will Be In Therapy For Years

I have read a shocking article which no person should ever go through, least of all a lad and it strikes home how bullying can destroy people, read this and you'll see what I mean:
A schoolboy is in shock after being stripped naked and forced to "walk the plank" into the sea by three bullies in an attack which traumatised the 15-year-old victim who was left trying to cover himself with just a sock after his tormentors ran off with most of his clothes.
The teenager was approached by the youths and told they would beat him up if he looked at them. During a 20-minute ordeal, they made him walk out to sea along a sewer outlet pipe, continually pushed him in to the water and robbed all his clothes.
He also suffered bruising and a a cut to his hand
The humiliating attack has left the schoolboy too scared to speak out.
If they do catch these youths, they'll probably get a warning!

that is such a sad story
i really do not understand what is wrong with people
i think that those who did that should be admitted to the hospitel for a mental problem
but before that i would have left them inside a circle of people that will laugh at then while they are naked.
there is no excuse in the world for doing that to a person.
i hope that boy is going to be alright.

It will affect him badly, how do you get over that sort of ordeal? Bullies have a lot to answer for and when there is no proper deterrant they are free to do it over and over again, it was sick and very nasty. I hope does get the right support because he will need it.

Well I was bullied constantly at school .. pushed down stairs, had my dinner money stolen from me .. punched, poked, spat at and called all sorts of nasty names .. just because I was good at lessons .. when I did tell the teachers they never believed me .. and when I told my nother I just got a good hiding for telling tales about 'nice girls' .. sheeeshh ..
It shouldn't happen .. it's an awful thing to happen .. but I've seen far worse happen to my friends and myself over our school years ..
I hope it doesn't scar him for life .. but if he's allowed to deal with it in his own way in some weird way it might just make a better man of him .. I'm not saying it's right .. but bullying sure made me a better person .. and ultimately more understanding and compassionate to others .. weird or what !

I know, kids are viscious now-a-days. I've been told that in the town I live in that girls are raped in the bathrooms of the high school and middle school and nothings really done about it. These kids need stiffer punishments!!! And when they "act" like stupid, crazy adults, they ought to get the same punishments as one!!

This is such a sad incident. It would leave a scar in the life of the boy. If those kids are caught, they should be given counseling and made to realize the impact of their actions.

That's a horrible experience... I can't begin to imagine how the boy will cope with this traumatizing experience. No one deserves such treatment. This is incredibly serious and a very serious offence. Those bullies need to get a severe punishment. They obviously knew what they were doing and should hold responsibility in this crime instead of being let off by the law.
I hope the boy is able to handle what he's gone through. If anything, I hope he at least has supportive parents and friends to help him through this ordeal. .

This happens alot now a days. I don't see any solution done regarding this. I think parents should be more aware of how there children behave and let them be aware of the morals. This kind of situation brings to birth all kind of criminals and deliquency.

That is so sad and sick!
I'm starting to feel if children don't get some disipline at home and at school they have no rules to follow and that is what is happening i was shocked when i worked in a school the children could walk out when they liked.
at the local high school if they walk out they are given treats playing games on the computer there own consellor if they want its such a waste when children go bad just because they have no idea of consequences of there actions.
They are probably minors and have no idea of the trauma the boy suffered or care the human rights act has a lot to answer for when my brother got lippy a policeman clipped him round the ear it worked i don't believe in vicious punishments but a short sharp shock may bring a lot of children to there senses lock them in a cell for a few hours lol

oh my this poor teenager. how sad is that. it gets more and more out of hand these days. but how could that be stopped? here they started to punish them in taking them out of school, putting them in therapy families and so on. but it doesnt help. this boy receives the help he deserves i hope.

How very sad. Unlike my story about the wrestling match, this kid did not ask for this and it was no accident. You are probably right about a slap on the wrist. I am the type of parent that would be making demands of these kid's parents. However, the child, and yes, 15 is still a child in my book, probably would be horrified to have it out to the public.
Something needs to be done though. Maybe a bit of quiet punishment like boot camp for these bullies.

This poor kid. They sure can be cruel. I can't believe what kids go thru and they shouldn't. It really starts from their parents too.

Alot of kids nowadays don't seem to have any morals and bullying to them is just a way of getting their kicks. I believe that we should all be standing up against these bullies and saying out loud that we are not going to accept it anymore.
The trouble is, it is the parents who do not teach their kids the respect they need to learn. Look at what is happening in the UK at the moment, kids are being let down by their parents and turning to gangs to have a sense of belonging. Sadly though they are used by the gang members and end up even more mixed up.
Only the other day my daughters friend was taken into care along with her 2 brothers and sister. It was very sad and she tried to run away before the police caught up with her. She has now been seperated from her siblings in a place where she does not know anyone, what will happen to her I dread to think.
I agree with what your friend Robin says in an earlier discussion. I believe parents need to take more responsibility in the way they deal with their kids behaviour. If we have the right to have children then we need to bring them up and teach them morals. Its as though alot of them just don't care anymore. I see this daily where I work and these kids are only 3-4 years old.
I often think about what this country will be like when I reach old age and very often it scares the sh@t out of me!!

This unfortunately goes back to the gang mentality. Alone everyone of those guys would never attempt this...but together they feed on each other and it makes them bold.
If several men did this to another man he would have grounds to charge them with assault. But our society seems to look at this as boys will be boys. This is over the top for anyone however. This should be prosecuted somehow. And if I were this boys father I would seek every avenue possible.
I agree that something should change in our system to at the very least hold these kids accountable for what they do. To slap there hands is only an encouragement. It makes it clear that when they do this it is okay. And then the next poor soul will get even worse.

Oh my God this is terrible. That poor kid will be traumatised for life by this incident and what is worse, the bullies who did this, if they ever find them, willjust laugh about it all. I hate bullying of any description, and this takes the prize. I sincerely hope they find these little thugs and lock them up.

How shocking and utterly degrading for that poor poor boy.
It never fails to sadden me to see how some kids treat others these days in attacks that have no place in society.
I can totally understand how he is too scared to speak out, but I would hope that he will change his mind. If they ARE caught they probably will get more than a warning, because this is more than simple bullying.
What a traumatic experience. That young boy will probably need therapy to help him through this.

I've heard of mean bullies but never have I heard of anything like this! Its amazing what people do to others. We need to have these kids, along with many others, put into required psychological treatment.
I hope that the kid can get treatment from a psychologist. It'll be a long time before he can look back at that and giggle - maybe never.
