There are so many little silly superstitions that we follow even without thinking, for example when you accidently drop the salt, throwing some over your shoulders or knocking on wood...but do you really beleive in them?? How far would you go to follow a superstition??

I never used to consider myself superstitious but at the same time I wouldn't walk under a ladder. This is because I would be afraid that something might fall on my head. I also wouldn't open an umbrella in the house and I wouldn't put shoes on the table. I don't believe that breaking a mirror would bring seven years bad luck, otherwise I will be having bad luck for the rest of my life. Maybe I am just a tiny bit superstitious after all.

My gran was a stickler for superstitions. especially the salt one. I won't walk under a ladder, but it's more in fun than anything else. Who started superstitions.

Superstitions are basically baseless beliefs that we have ourselves created, based on past consecutive co-incidences. THey have no base and no link to the actual thing that they signify. Now that is something i believe, and so, no offence to anyone. BUt, straightforward, and long story short, no i dont beleive in superstitions, cze it does not make sense for me to do so! Really does not. 13 is an unlucky number. LOlx, then why is 26 not twice as dangerous?? Answer that, lolx :p

And you are absolutely right however, I have to say that it is fun to follow superstitions unless, of course you let them run your life and then I have to agree with you that it is silly!

Like an old saying, I'm not suspicious, it gives bad luck. It's hard to understand things that sometimes happens to us, and when we don't understand, we throw the blame on superstition.
