I am 50yrs old and have never knit a pair of gloves, fingers and all. Only mittens. My mum is 75yrs old and is teaching me how to knit gloves on 4 needles. I have had these 4 needles all over the place. We have had a good laugh about it though. Just hope I can finish them.

Congratulations on keeping yourself and your mom busy. You painted such a funny, loving picture for us in your post. We are never to old to learn. Good Luck and don't give up trying.

Thankyou for your response. I have only done about 8 rows so far but will do some more to-day. Take care!

I can't knit to save my life! You are very brave, and that nogals, with 4 needles! I can remember when my Mom use to knit jerseys with a raglan collar, I think, o well raglan something:) she used 4 needles

I think it might be easier just to go out and buy a pair. Probably cheaper too!

you have started with a hard thing to do , lol socks and gloves are hard to do , the first time I used 4 needles there were more holes then stitches , I used to love knitting , I taught my sons to knit at one time but they didn't keep it up , I think they thought it was too girlie lol , I taught my granddaughters too but they lost interest , good for you , If you can master 4 needles then their will be no stopping you , you will be going shopping and looking at all the lovely colours of wool , shrugs are so in fashion now and are so easy to knit and you can do them on huge needles in a night , look out here comes all of your Christmas presents for next year , you go girl xxxx
