web chatting or blind dating?

befriending someone you're not sure of who the person is is nerve racking at times.. which would you prefer to conversate a total stranger with? in person or using the web?

It is esiler to spot a liar in person than it is on the net, they can say ANYTHING and yuo wouldnt know, but in person at least there is body langguage and a womans natural instinct to guide her, so definately blind date

..you can have a hint of one's personality even when hearing one's voice and net would really be just for time passers to fool around with strangers and a hurtful place for people who really wanted to meet good friend, i guess... thanks for replying!

In my opinion you must keep your web friend at web itself and your neighborhood friend, whom you know more about in person closer. Like I am discussing with you, I know you only by your mylot login name, else all other info that you may have provided can be false. So you must not go for a blind date.
