Why do some people allow themselves to be consumed by hate?

I've often wondered why people simply continue to hate, creating their own atmosphere of pain and grief. I've seen people being eaten up by their own hatred of others. Why do you think they cannot see what it does to them as an individual? How can they not realize the turmoil it causes them?

My answer may seem kind of weird but I think they enjoy it. It has been my observation in life that some people enjoy being miserable, always pessimistic, being unkind and cruel to others, then you have hypochondiacs who are happy being or thinking they are ill. I think there something twisted or kinked in their make up.

Actually that's not really "weird". There are people who thrive on the attention it creates and the scenes they can make in expressing their hatred towards others. As it's often said, for many "bad" attention is attention just the same. So you have a very valid point.

Hi! I think that some people can't exist without a certain amount of "drama" in their lives. I've had friends that were just in crisis every minute of every day. When things weren't about them, they were bored to tears. There are people here on Mylot, too, that live to just flame and hurt others. I think they enjoy it. They wouldn't be happy without it. It's pathetic that they have to live off the hurt and pain of others!
