Is Perez Hilton Too Cruel?

I know that the purpose of Perez Hilton's site is to provide a satirical celebrity scoop tabloid, but does anyone think that he might be a little too cruel? When I see a celebrity like Lindsay Lohan, or Kiersten Dunst in a compromising position, or looking extremely drunk and ugly, I think it's like rubbernecking - it's like driving your car slowly past the scene of an automobile accident. Then again, maybe our shallow celebrity-obsessed culture needs someone like Perez to point out the flaws of our popular elite. What do you think?

I don't think its too cruel. I feel that he says things that a lot of people are thinking about celebs, especially the celebs that act like trash (ie Paris, Lindsay, Nicole). These people know that they live the spotlight, and the still do stupid things. I think because of their actions they should expect that type of media exposure.

Hi there! I have never been to perezhilton.com but this topic intrigues me. I guess I'll have to visit the site to see for myself then I will come back here for my response. I guess that some people likes to see celebreties when they are not in their best because they feel that they are just like ordinary people too under certain circumstances.
