I have a dumb question

hi! the star rating is your mylot reputation. it indicates how mylot users rate the quality of your discussions, responses and comments. the star rating is from 0-10, with 10 being the highest. once a mylot user reached 100 posts, then the star rating appears. this shows the percentage of how many (+) positive ratings you received from mylot users. currently you have a 4 or 39/100. 4, is not bad. anyways, you can still increase it as you continue to do quality postings. goodluck! just have fun. :)

Hi, the star is your rating on here - when you see the little + - ! signs at the side of each discussion and response, then this is how people rate you. If you hover your mouse over your star you will see your rating out of 100. Your number can go up and down accordingly and if you're controvertial it will be usually going down as you'll get quite a few minuses! Appartantly it also affects your earnings but not sure how as I've had my 10 star for months now! Hope that helps a little, there is always a FAQ at the bottom of each mylot page, which has alot of answers on there!

The star above your name is a good thing that is what you receive when people rate your discussions. so if you are at 4 in just a month you are doing awesome and people are rating your discussions good.

That's your rating it can be as high as 10 so 4 is quite low but don't worry your rating will improve with time.
