Mylot.com Users: Can You Touch Type??

yup i can touchtype. i can type faster that way. never have to look at the keyboard

Please clarify the meaning of touch typing . To be naive I would say that every kind of typing is touch typing because you are required to touch the keys . Is touch typing merely kissing the surface of the keys . Or is it typing without looking at the keys . I lloked at mykeyboard and two of the letters f and j had a litlle protrusion under them . Do we judge the postion of other keys relative to them , because otherwise wiuthout looking we would not know which key we are on . If my defintion of touch typing is correct , then no I can not touch type .

Oh yes, I can definitely do that. I can't imagine making any money here if I couldn't type real fast. I actually learned to touch type many years ago on a manual typewriter. I type about 70 to 80 words per minute.

Yes I do touch type and all thanks to mylot which has improved my speed immensely. I have not taken any formal typing classes and learnt to type fast when in college. We always had assignments and for finals we had to submit 3 huge projects, so that improved my typing skills. I type around 70WPM which I think is good considering I have no formal training in typing:)

I was a secretary for fifteen years and I took typing courses in college. I type sixty five words a minute without many errors. For me, this is a great advantage for using Mylot. It is worth learning to type properly if you want to do well here at Mylot.
