I'm sure you all have seen the new commercials about creams and lotions with Shea Butter in it. Well, let me tell ya, in order for the Shea Butter in those products to work effectively, you will be buying that product for awhile.
What you need is RAW SHEA BUTTER. It's 100% natural and from a nut that comes from the African Shea Tree. It's inexpensive, lasts a long time (cause a dab will do) and it NEVER EXPIRES. What Can you Use it for? A variety of things, and I'm gonna share it with you.
1. Treatment of dry skin
2. ECZEMA... works wonders for this, ask me how if you need to know more.
3. DIAPER RASH
4. Sunscreen... hello, summer is slowly approaching, you will be amazed at this, it
has vitamin E&F in it, PUT IN THERE BY NATURE, NOT MANUFACTURED IN THERE
5. Pain relief from swelling and arthritis
6. Improves muscle relaxation and stiffness
7. Great for treating dark spots and blemishes
8. GREAT FOR STRETCHMARKS
9. massages
10. and hair conditioner
I'll tell you a little bit more. It contains a very rich anmount of unremovable fatty acid wihich renders it far SUPERIOR to cocoa butter and other natural vegetable butters. This fatty acid is crucial to moisturizing and rejuvenating the skin. Shea Butter provides all the essential vitamins needed to make skin look and feel softer, smoother, and HEALTHIER. It's great in the winter to to protect your extremities from the wind and cold, and in the summer form the sun. Oh, I almost forgot, it also helps wounds heal faster.
So don't give in to the commercial market and pay too much for sunscreen and especially diaper ointment. You can get this at festivals for about $5 for 8-10oz or you can order online for about $7.00. Just search RAW SHEA BUTTER, make sure you get the RAW. If you can't find the one for $7.00 let me know and I'll look in my receipts to get the name of where I ordered mine. I bought my first jar at a neighborhood festival in the summer of 2005, and I just now had to replace it in Feb. of this year.
And if you know someone who works in carpentry, construction, etc. it's great for them to soften hands after a shower when they get home from work. Or for people who work on their feet for long periods of time, and their feet tend to dry out or get rough or calloused. I love this stuff.

Oh my the wonders it does for eczema. I started using it on my 9yr old when she was 7 and it did wonders. Now before I go on, remember I said it's good for diaper rash, so that let's you know it is ok for babies. It's 100% Natural.
I used it on my daughter for her eczema 2x a day, in the morning and at bed time (3x in the summer if she went swimming). I did that for about a month or two. Then it came to a point when I only needed to use it once a day (after baths or in the morning) I did that for a few wks, and for the last year I only had to use it when it's cold. Eczema gets worse in colder weather, at least that's what I've noticed. So, depending on the results you see you will know how much and when to use. And the beauty of it is, you know it's safe, you save money, it's has other uses, and your not buying into the medication hype. And besides,it's natural, what's better than that? Think about how there were less illnesses when we as a society lived off of natural things. Before chemicals were sprayed on our fruits and vegetables? Society is going back to organic things for a reason, right?
Well I hope this helps you and also don't forget a dab will do. And you will save so much money because it lasts for a long time since you don't have to use huge amounts. Let me know how it goes. I will look for my receipt or search the site again that I bought it from.

Is it safe for use by diabetics? As a diabetic, I am always worried about my skin, but even more so my feet. I have very dry skin on my legs down to my feet and my heels are just parched. I have been buying a special diabetic foot lotion for $15 for 4.5 ounces. It is way too expensive to use every single day as instructed.
I would be so interested in using Shea Butter so long as it's safe for diabetics. I will do a search for it online and see what I can find. Other wise, I will be asking you for the name of the site you bought yours from. THanks for the info.

Oh my I can see your frustration with that cost. Yes, because it is 100% natural and can be used on babies it is also safe for diabetics. I scooped some out of my jar last month to give my grandmother some and she loves it. And like you, was rashioning her cream out because of the cost. So, let's see For half the price of your cream you can get double the ounces, sounds good to me. Yes, you should definitely try this. I will get the site information from my receipt and give it to you.
