After I went to church

After I went to church and hearing mass, I always get this feeling of lightness. It seems that the world is more beautiful, people are more friendly and everything is possible. Why do you think that one feels such lightness after hearing mass or going to church?

Each and every one of us would always need a wake-up call; and what better wake-up call could there be than hearing mass or going to church. We are not perfect and we easily succumb to temptation. We would sometimes commit the same mistakes over and over. There is a need for us to be reminded of important things, like our religion or our faith. I teach in a religious school, and every morning, before the day would start, all the teachers and staff would meet for prayer. I have observed that the day would always go right because I would feel blessed. Thus, I have my wake-up call every morning, and I'm glad for that. I would not only feel blessed, but I believe that there is power in people praying together. That lightens the load or burden that one's been carrying, there is an impulse to only do good towards others, and there is the feeling of being forgiven of his/her sins. I think that these are the reasons why there is a feeling of lightness after hearing mass or going to church. Happy Easter!

I absolutely believe in the power of prayer and the power of praying together and that it could be the reason why we feel blessed and light hearted right after every mass or prayer. There are times that I could even feel the intensity of praying together that sometimes it brings tears to my eyes.

I've always felt that way whenever I attended church. I guess it's all in how the preacher speaks, and how everyone treats each other inside of church. I'm not a regular churchgoer, but have always felt enlightened right after attending a service. I try to keep that feeling throughout the rest of the week, but usually by the day after, that enlightened feeling somewhat goes away, especially after coming across people outside of church who act differently than how they are in church.

I hope that one could really hold on to the feeling as long as possible. As for me, I am more tolerant when I just came from church.
