jump start weight loss? I have recently read an article where studies show that during this season when the days start to get longer, our metobolisms will start to work a bit better and if you detoxify your system during that time, for two weeks you can jump start weight loss if you need to get rid of those extra winter pounds, or just to detox your system to give you more energy and make you feel better, healthier. Has anyone else tried this, do you feel it works? I have just begun doing this, so I don't know if it works or not yet. I was reading an article that tells how your metabolism will try to pick up about this time of year when spring starts. And that it is possible to lose aprox, a pound a day for about 2 weeks. One thing you can do is drink dandelion tea, it seems two cups a day can improve your liver's production of detoxifying enzymes by as much as 244 percetn. Helps heal the digestive track, flushes excess fluid out of the lymphatic system and boosts gallbladder's production of bile to speed metablolism and elimination of toxins. If you want you can order the Dandelion tea at www.iherb.com, it really isn't that expensive. But there are other things you can do as well. This helps also if you are prone to acne rashes or dull flaky skin, cellulite, even when you lose weight, yeast or urinary tract infections: Drink hot lemon water with breakfast. Juice half a lemon into 8 oz. of hot water, it pormotes the intestiinal muscles contractions that speed toxin elimination by the liver and lymph system. The Hot water stimulates gastric nerves for the most efficient detox. Drink cranwater. This is done by mixing 8 oz of unsweatened cranberry juice with 56 oz of water. Anthocyanins and organic acids in cranberry jice stimulate the release of trapped fat so it can be flushed by the liver and lymph system. Can uses flaxseed one tbs, ground flaxsee into 8 oz of cranwater in the morning and before bed will nurish the liver, so that you metabolize fat soluble toxins and excess body fat. If you have frequent spring colds, slow healing wounds or scars, low resistance to stress, marked by high blood pressure, GI distress or headaches: have a smootie for 2 meals a day, blend 1/2 cup parsley or spinach, 1 cup water, 1 banana, 1 stalk celery, and a few slices of cucumber or beet. sipping two smoothies a day in place of meals could double your weight loss. best if this is made fresh but you can make some in advance and freeze it in cups with lids, if you take from freezer an hour before you need it then drink it. and or sip lemon water throughout the day. juice one leomon into 48 oz of water add 1 tsp freshly grated lemon zest, shake well to incorporate the vitamin c this heals the immune system Third option if you have belly bloat at the end of each day, gass indigestion, diarrhea, and or cramping in the upper right abdomen, frequrent pain between the shoulders Sip hot lemon water midafternoon, juice half lemon, into 12 oz of hot water, this loosens mucus cleansing the liver and gallbladder, flavor vegetables with better butter, blend 1 cup virgin olive oil and 1 cup organic butter cover and refrigerate at lunch and dinner eat 1 bowl of steamed mixed veggies with 1 tbs of this butter olive oil mix, Sipping water collected from steamed veggies, season water with veggie or garlic salt and reheat, the vitamins and minerals from the veggies in the broth improve the gallbladder and the liver. Any way you don't have to do all of this, but they are optins for improving your system and detoxing it faster because in spring when the seasonal changes of daylight change how our body's hormones and biochemical reactions are so that during the first couple of weeks your body will work better, so that any small thing you do to improve your health, and or detox your system or lose weight will likely be more effective.

Hi Nowment. I've heard of this and I believe its a popular thing to do in Europe. I do the lemon juice in water quite often all year round, as we have a lemon tree in our backyard and I love to use the lemons for everything, rather than having them fall off the tree and rot. Lemons are full of vit C and the juice combined with the water really does flush the system out so to speak! lol

yes I think the vitamin C can be a key factor, it seems that the lemon helps with the lymph system and the liver. I have a friend who uses cranberry juice in a similar way. Good luck finding the cause of the allergic reaction.

You are welcome, sometimes I wait a while to see if anyone else may respond, and then sometimes forget about old discussions, my earnings are low for yesterday because I spent most of my online time going through unresolved discussions I suppose late is better than not at all.
