What was inside Marcellus Wallace's Briefcase? An Oscar

I've read many theories about what was inside his briefcase. Some people tend to think that it was his soul, some people think it was a lot of money. The one thing that makes sense to me is: An Oscar. Three reasons: 1. When the thief opens it up, it's shiny. 2. It's a movie about Hollywood. 3. Quentin Tarantino was an incredible movie buff, and many famous movies (Band of Outsides, Chungking Express) are referenced by Pulp Fiction.

No one really knows what's in there. Quentin himself said he would never tell and hinted that maybe it wasn't anything definite but put it in there so people would think, wonder and come up with their own ideas. Judging from the way it glowed, I personally would guess either: Gold, or something radioactive, with the later being the most probable given it was 3-4 college type kids who had it, and that they didn't have Marcellus's money. The answer however, will probably always remain a mystery.
