Last Sunday, my boyfriend came to our house. He bring us some shrimps for our lunch. My mother cook it with some vegetables and tamarind powder.
We do enjoy our lunch, mother cooks it very well. It is not usual to have it, shrimps are expensive in our place.
After eating our meal, I get my vitamins to take. But my boyfriend don't allow me to have it. He told me that it would become poisonous when I take the vitamins after eating shrimps. This is my first time to hear that fact.
Is it true? Do you think it would be poisonous to have them both at the same time?I want to hear your comments for this matter.
Please share your thoughts.
Thank you so much!

i guess it depends on what vitimins you were taking, if they're just natural & normal ones you should be fine.
I think the best way to find out is to ask a Dr about whether the vitimins would clash with the food you just ate.
I think your boyfriend is wrong though, vitimins aren't designed to clash with anything, they're just suppliments in case you don't eat well enough to get all th necessary vitimins.
Good luck with it but definitely ask your GP!

Shrimps ( prawns ) are yummy, especially sweet and sour prawns. :)
Vitamins are naturally occuring in prawns. Perhaps your boyfriend was afraid that you would get vitamin overdosage when you eat the vitamins after eating the prawns. I take my vitamins ( not daily ) during breakfast. Breakfast is very simple, just some bread and some black coffee with sugar, not nutritious.
I don't take vitamins after a full meal which has most
of the nutrients in it.

Overdose of vitamins is poisonous to the body. I don't think prawns and vitamins can react chemically to create a poison in the body. But such advice is scary
and of course you want to be on the safe side. Has your boyfriend told you where he got this information?

I am not sure how true this is but I have come across the same myself.
Here, check out http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/v/vitaminshrimp.htm . This article on www.truthorfiction.com claims that it was an email hoax that is untrue. So supposedly, it is safe to eat them both together.
