Yay, I just finished. I have just spent a couple of hours shredding and double shredding all of my old paperwork, bank statements and receipts etc.... With all the talk about identity theft and fraud, you can never be too sure, they are even going through your trash cans to see what they can find out about you. I dont want to become a victim if i can help it. So what do you do with all your old paperwork, In the winter I used to burn it in the fire.

You can use it as mulch in the garden as well. I burn mine in winter. I've been a bit slack lately and have been throwing envelopes (with my name and address) in the trash. We toss it all in big skips and a truck hauls it away ....not sure where to. There's so much raw garbage in those skips I reckon no-one would touch it. Fingers crossed.

Good for you sweets - we had a problem with this a few years ago and it still hasn't gone away completely! My other half shreds anything with our names or addresses on and then burns them in the garden - he has a special metal bin for the job! I think he has the right idea - there is no point taking any chances! xx

We have a shredder. The kids love using it. Shredded paper is good as mulch for the garden.
Unfortunately we don't have a fireplace.

Ugh! I swim in a sea of paperwork every day. I'm thinking of becoming a pyromaniac. LoL! Seriously, though, after three years, I'm getting fed up.
