There have been certain events that have occurred in our lifetime that were dramatic and had a lasting impact in our memories...ones that we can remember where we were at the tine when they occurred--what were some of yours? Some can be pretty heavy duty things
Mine were:
The day President Kennedy was assassinated
The day John Lennon was killed
The day I heard of Princess Di's death and watching the funeral procession
The World Trade Center

There have been so many events that have happened while I was growing up to today. Some good and some that left me feeling like the world stopped spinning. Some of mine would be:
The day the Iranian Hostages were were released in 1981
Berlin Wall coming down
The Challenger Explosion
Columbine
Oklahoma Federal Building
The World Trade Center
I know there are more. I can look back on my life and see instances of things that have happened but those are ones that come right to mind. Events that will stay with me all my life.

Oh wow! How could I forget Oklahoma Federal Building bombing and Columbine. After Columbine I was just glad that I had graduated school already - but still worried about my sister.

I saw the Challenger explode. I was at work and someone said it was time for the launch, so we looked out the window to watch the streak. We saw the puff like after a fireworks show. We all just stood there with our jaws down, then rushed to find a tv.

I was just checking to see where you lived..so you saw it first hand..that must have been horrible...I have a friend who lives a few blocks away...she lives on the sixth floor of an apartment building...with a clear view to Manhattan...she was able to see the twin tower buildings fall of the World Trade Center!

There was an event early in my life that had a big effect on me physically for I stayed small for a long time. I was always picked on so I became the bookish sort. I remember in grade school the assassination of President Kennedy, then there was the assassination of Oswald, and then the assassination of Bobby Kennedy. Oh and can't forget the assassination of John Lennon. Then there was the space program accidents the capsule that burnt on the ground and the shuttle that blew up. The end of the Cold War and the Vietnam Era. The senseless deaths of Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and Janis Joplin, and Princess Di. The Oklahoma City bombing and the World Trade devastation and the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Can't forget the Hitler atrocities and the nuclear bombs in Japan.
