as a mom of 2,(3 if you count my husband, lol) and one on the way, i find that i never buy anything for myself. i've been doing it even since before we had kids. i have no problem spending money to get my husband something he needs or my kids, but when i comes to myself i always balk at buying stuff. is anyone else like that?

That's the way it usually goes. Kids, Hubby, house. I will occasionally buy something to support my habit (fabric!) but very rarely do I buy clothes for myself, shoes, or gasp, LUXERY items. DH and I cleaned out our closet, and we found that he actually has more closet space used than I do. I HAVE to stop buying for him! LOL

I,also am a mother of two. I usually don't buy for myself. I buy for the kids, my husband and my house. I always pick things up for myself and end up putting them back before I make it to the checkout. I don't know why.

I am like that too. I don't think I have really bought a lot for myself at all ever! I'm also a mum of 2 (or 3 if we're counting men! I am always buying things for the kids, usually because they need them but often wven if they don't. I can easily buy things for other people but if I see anything I like for myself (which isn't very often) I just think that I don't need it so I won't get it. I'm going around in shoes with holes in most the time because I just won't buy myself things even if I should do because I spend any spare money on things for the kids. My 7 year old knows what he wants now and doesn't ask for anything. I can ask him if he wants stuff while we are out and he'll say no anyway, but my youngest is a toddler and tiny people clothes are just so cute I have to limit myself and choose just one thing for him unless he really needs something, otherwise I could buy a whole shop for him.
