How many siblings do each of you have? Are you guys close? I have 2 little brothers that I haven't seen since Christmas. One will be 20 on Monday and the other will be 15 in October. It feels so alien to me that my 'little' brothers are all grown up, have girlfriends and, well, are taller than I am! :) After all, I held them as babies!

I have 2 brothers and one sister. We are very close since we where little. I guess that's common for a Pilipino like me because in our country we believe in family ties. Even my older brother got married they live here in us, it's not that they both have work and no one will babysit their daughter that's why they live with us. I'm happy that they do, and I think that if I'm getting married too, I would also live near my family home. I love my family very much...

I have 12 brothers and sisters and we are close, although not in the conventional sense. We have family reunions twice a year and as many of us go as we can, usually about 8 - 10 of us plus kids, grandkids and greatgrandkids (and cousins and aunts and uncles, etc.) show up. We also have a family web site where we can post messages so we usually know what is going on with each other. But I know if I ever need anything I just need to pick up the phone and call and each and everyone of them will come running. I have adjusted to my "little" brothers being all grown up, traveling the world, owning their own businesses, one even flies his own plane. But I have trouble with accepting that the nephews whose diapers I used to change can now issue me a traffic citation! Oh my I do feel old.

It's hard seeing your siblings grow up isn't it? I'm the oldest of 4--2 sisters and a brother. the older sister and I have always been very close. We share a lot of the same thoughts, hobbies, and beliefs. I am so happy that she moved back to the state of Iowa so I have the opportunity to see her more often! The other sister and I have a difficult situation. There is only 6 years difference between us. She's not one to make decisions wisely. I understand WHY she does what she does, but there are days I want to smack her and tell her she was being so stupid! My baby brother is 13 years younger than I am, and probably my (don't tell my sisters) favorite. He and I have always been close. We went to the movies and did some fun things together when we were younger. He didn't speak to me for about 3 months when I moved out to go to college. That broke my heart. Now, he's planning a wedding for next summer. Boy, it makes me feel so old!!!

I have 4 sisters and one brother. I'm 4th in line, and my brother is the baby... 50 years old now! The sibling interactions are the most interesting thing to me. You get close, then kind of slip away, then something so tiny happens that makes you think of each other and you're so close again. Over the years, you won't believe how many time one of my sisters has called me just as I was calling her.. My brother somehow knows whenever I really need to talk to someone. It's such an amazing connection! Remembering the rivalry (you can imagine... we were all like a year apart) is such a hoot now. The love is just cemented among us. Even in years when we don't speak to each other. I hope you stay connected always, but if not, I want you to know that you will reconnect and love each other even more!

Hi, I have two sisters and a brother and I have to say that I share your feelings...and here is why- I have an elder sister (three years older than I am) with whom I grew up however, my other brother and sister are 13 and 15 years younger, respectively therefore, I too took part in bringing them up- seeing them all big and having their own jobs, partners is as strange as you described. We are a very close knit family so we talk almost everyday on the phone, IMs or email... Its great to have siblings - I never had to look for company outside the house they have always been my true friends in need.

I have an older half-sister that I haven't seen or heard from in over 20 years. I don't even know how to reach her. I have a full-blooded sister that I get along with if there are several hundred miles between us. I have two adopted siblings, brother and sister, that I haven't seen in over 20 years. My adopted sister and I tried our best to kill each other when we were children. Finally, I have three step-sisters that I do not see or with whom I get along. So, in answer to your questions... I have multiple siblings, but I'd probably have felt more comfortable being an only child.
