All the time actually! LOL - well maybe not all the time, but I do find a lot of work colleagues seem to spend their entire time whingeing about silly, unimportant "work related" type things, which really have no relevance in the outside world, and it annoys me, and makes me very tempted to say "Get a Life"! I don't say it to them though - as I have to work with them, and it's far simpler for the atmosphere to keep quiet and smile inwardly. I think the last time I actually said it to someone was over a tennis match. I am a big tennis fan, and I know this girl who is "obsessed" by Roger Federer. Now as you may or may not know, he is World Number 1 and very rarely loses any matches - but on this one occasion he lost a match and she was going on about it so much that it drove me to distraction! In the end I told her that tennis wasn't really worth geting so stressed about, and I was sure Roger was already back in his Hotel with his girlfriend having forgotten all about it, - so I told her to "get over it and get a life!" I felt guilty afterwards though, because she just burst into tears and I am a big softie at heart!!

I'm sorry, but the end of your story made me laugh. Theres only so much a sane person can take, I don't blame you for saying it. To cry though, you must of felt awful!!
I remember going to see Arsenal and I had a man sitting next to me who spent the whole game talking about previous matches. Who scored what, who passed to who etc. In my head I was shouting GET A LIFE. He was bigger than me!
Thanks, I needed a good laugh.

What the price of fish LOL! Do you mean the Victor Meldrews in this world? Hands up I admit that I can definitely see myself as being another Victor Meldrew, I do complain a lot about my life and sometimes I am my own worst enemy, I think it gets worse as you get older and yes I do rue things changing more for the worst than the better. Even I hate to admit it but I do compare life now to what it was back in the 70s and 80s! Gawd I am getting old saying that LOL!

I love Victor Meldrew and I can relate to him as I love a good moan. The people I mean are the ones who complain about the smallest of things or have an obsession with a certain film, sports team or fictional character to the point where it takes over their life.
I watched that TV programme about finding the new Grease stars. It was the most cringing thing I have ever seen and some of the people really do need to get a life and realise they are crap! OOPs, I'm off again!
Thanks
