I have registered my website at BigRock and there is an offer for SSL certificates so, I want to know that is SSL certificate is necessary for my website?

Just an Ordinary Owl? You ONLY need an SSL certificate if you are intending to ask people to enter their credit/debit card details for payment or for certain other activities where you are collecting sensitive personal data. Even if you are selling something online, you don't...
