Teddy Enjoying His Birthday Cake

Today, Jay sent me this photo of our great-grandson Teddy, mauwing down on his Birthday cake. Being Teddy's first Birthday, made it even more fun. Nope, I wasn't on the cleanup committee! Yes, this picture was taken by Grandpa Jolly, about five months ago. But, it's new to me, so I wanted to share it with our My Lot friends:) I am nuts about our grandkids! This mess didn't bother baby one bit! Mom just scooted him into the bathroom and made good use of a clean wash-cloth:) Did he struggle to get away? I'm pretty sure that he did:) The buffet snacks were amazingly good, we really enjoyed a variety of finger foods! Probably my favorite was a platter filled with various types of cheese, pickles&olives and whole-grain crackers. This was something we don't ordinarily serve at home. Another delicious treat was an assortment of melon chunks, grapes, black cherries, kiwi, avocado and berries. I almost emptied that platter, all by myself! The desserts being cake, cupcakes and cookies, they had plenty of leftovers for another Birthday gathering. Possibly they froze them, for a later date.
