Sunny Morning

It is a sunny and mild start to the day here. A lovely way to begin the last of the long holiday weekend. We have enjoyed such nice weather to kick off the unofficial start of summer. Earlier this morning, while I was sleeping in, my husband turned on the air conditioning. I think that we only need it while we sleep currently, but eventually we will need it for the daytime also. Tonight when we sleep, we will be able to leave the windows closed, which will be nice since there will be lots of bangs and pops from people letting off fireworks to celebrate Victoria Day.

Thanks, we are having a really relaxing and kicked back weekend. We both caught up on our rest, he laid down yesterday afternoon for over an hour, which totally surprised me.

Thanks, it was a quiet but enjoyable day. We will likely leave the a/c on for the duration of the summer now, unless we get a nice break in the next few weeks where it cools and we can shut it off and open the windows. Otherwise we are grateful to have it.

@LindaOHio Today is hot and humid here. There is an advisory out to stay inside in the a/c and remain hydrated and to check on elderly neighbours.

Happy Victoria Day. We had a wonderful sunny morning and now it is raining, but it's a gentle rain. Still not warm enough to turn on the fan during the night.

@LadyDuck For us the warm month was our February. We have had as close to a normal of a spring as we have had in many years. It is drier than usual, but we have had cool and cold and then warm but now that it is nearing the end of the season, next month actually, we will hit 29C here today.

@Juliaacv - We had a too hot month of March, I remember it was 28º C one day. With April the rain started and the cold wind and it still has to stop.

Thank you. I know that after such a warm weekend, we will be in desperate need for some nice rains too. Funny how we used to wish for sunshine and blue skies on our weekends and days off but now the earth is in such a condition where we wish for the opposite.

It’s hot and sunny here today. We need to use our air off and on throughout the day, but usually use ceiling fans at night.

We both like to use the same blankets during the summer as we do during the winter, and like it cool for sleeping. We usually keep it set at 21.5 or 22C.

Enjoy your Victoria Day celebrating. Having a long weekend is always nice when you have to work. I've had my a/c on a few times this month and will probably need it this week as it's supposed to get warm.

Today is that kind of a day here. I thought that he would have turned it off after I got up, but it is muggy today and he seems to be liking it. I also believe that he has ideas for me doing a big supper in the oven. He's getting pretty predictable.
