A female cockatiel named Nina managed to escape from her owner on Tuesday of last week and she managed to get stranded on a ledge at St. Luke's Hospital which caused the owner of the cockatiel to call for help.
Firefighters from the Duluth Fire Department answered the call for help to rescue Nina who was rescued by the firefighters who used a 100 foot ladder and a bucket to rescue Nina safely and return Nina to her owner who is very grateful for the rescue of her pet.

I wonder why the bird didn't just fly away itself. Maybe, its wings had been clipped, so it could only walk around?

Hm. Maybe I'd better suggest this to a lady who goes to my church. Her cockatiel escaped from its cage last year and is still flying around her apartment complex.
