Pesto Ingredients and Microplane for Cheese - The bowl contains the finished pesto made with fresh Genoa basil, freshly grated Italian cheese (I used Grana Padana this time), pine nuts and extra virgin olive oil. The microplane in front of the bowl of pesto is my favorite tool for grating cheese as well as many other hard foods.
