I always take a drive down to City Park, for my first, morning cup of coffee. This is something that I've enjoyed, for many years. This puts me in gear, to face another day.
A couple days ago, the fog was really heavy in the air....

Fiacre Banks @kobesbuddy I love fog. Isn’t it just great being accepted as you are, warts and all?!

I don’t want to sound condescending, but I’ve been caught a few times assuming people in other countries know a phrase or saying that is familiar to me, only to find out it’s not known in their country.
So how about going home...

I went to see Vince in hospital this morning. I managed to find the entrance to the car park and found an empty spot but the bays were very tight. Luckily I have a smallish car. I was able to pay with coins so that was good. I...

The photo has little to do with the discussion.
I didn’t go to the movie night at the clubhouse last night. However, I did go a few doors up and had coffee with two other couples.
For some reason, we got to taking about bats....

Vince had open heart surgery today. The doctor rang early afternoon to say the operation had gone well although his blood pressure was up a bit. He said they were keeping a close eye on him.
I am going to see him tomorrow...

Fiacre Banks @judyev I’m sure he’ll be back tossing pancakes again soon. Great relief that the surgery’s over I’m sure. I’m the same about those parking meters where you use the mobile to pay. I’ve definitely been left behind by tech and I’ve no intention of catching up.

A long and torturous tale lies behind the fact that my niece is coming to stay for a few days because of a complicated bereavement situation. The good news is that her doubly incontinent dog will not be accompanying her much to...

I received this ‘bouquet’ a day or two ago. The flowers are actually chocolates. I still have a box of Lindt’s left from Mothers’ Day but I’m not complaining.
No other news from my part of the world except that it is quite...
