Is this being cruel to my cats?

Since we've moved into our new house, my husband won't let me let my kitties come upstairs. They have to spend their days in a cage in the basement. It makes me feel so bad to have to do this to them.

DeborahZ No way I have a lot of cats and they are like my kids I mean you wouldnt leave your kids in a basement yea some people would say o there just cats but they need love and attention and not to be lock in a cage down in the basement.. do they stay in the cage all...
