Angel Personally, I find the laws for child labor in the US very reasonable. I do not think a child should have to work in the US or any other developed country. Simply because if the family is having a hard time, we have welfare and such provided by the government...

Angel Yes, they sometimes do mistreat the children who work in other countries. But not in all cases. I am glad the US have the laws that they have to protect children from having to work, and also keeping teens who want to work safe. There is no reason...

Angel I suppose I agree that a couple that can barely support themselves should not bring that many children into the world. However, I do not their reasoning for doing so.

Angel I do agree that child labor is horrible, and it shouldn't be in this world. However, the fact of the matter is, in some countries it is necessary for survival. Not in the USA or other developed countries, but in undeveloped and poor countries. Those...

Angel Very good point Mike. I too think we should be more realistic instead of idealistic. We live in reality, not in an ideal world. Although, it would be nice... it's just not so.

Angel I do agree with you to a certain extent, but I also have to disagree. I do not like that child labor is something that goes on. However, in some countries, it's something that keeps families alive and together. I think a lot of people who live in the US,...

Angel You said "I think child labor is wrong too"... Please be aware, I did not say I thought it was wrong in my discussion. I am not for or against it. I am more in the middle.

Angel I agree. I don't like the fact that they have to work like adults and do not get the chance to really be a kid. But, with the way things are where they live, that's just how it has to be. They don't really have a better alternative, because I am sure if...
