To me it kind of feels like a loss of the identity I have had for 35 years - but to him it's a big deal that I become Mrs so and so. I'm trying to figure out if its a pride thing or a chauvinist thing. What are your thoughts?

Jodiedec7409 Thanks rg0205 - usually when I actually get out of bed I can hardly open my eyes I'm so exhausted - but I still can't just lie there and go back to sleep! I'll definatley try the camomile tea tonight.

Do you think that marriage in today's society is a necessity? Is living together in a committed relationship enough or does that walk down the aisle make a world of difference?

Jodiedec7409 Many people that I have asked this question of seem to feel that there is no real committment without that legal bind. Do you think that all the legality makes the committment any stronger?

Jodiedec7409 Why is it that it makes such a difference to societal acceptance and legal rights though - that's really not fair! Thanks for the response.
