KSharpe I have been on both sides with this issue. My daughter did not make me lose weight, I in fact gained weight while nursing her! My son on the other hand is only 3 weeks old and I'm back at pre-pregnancy wieght already!! Ofcourse I'm not excercising because I...

KSharpe That is a very interesting post. When I think about it, with my 4 sisters my mom breastfed 3 of us. 1 was bottlefed because my mom was in school and 1 was adopted. But the 3 of us who were breastfed are much more confidant and much closer to my mo than the...

KSharpe I agree with this post, using formula ONLY in an emergency. Even then I wouldn't give my child formula. If for some ungodly reason I was unable to nurse my child, I have friends who would pump for my babies. And I would be happy to do the same for them.

KSharpe It does not matter whether or not you are a healthy eater, your body will use the nutrients and vitamins that do go into your body for your breastmilk. You will be the one who suffers from a poor diet, not your baby. Which not be the case if you FF, then your...

KSharpe When babies are nursing, they can not bite. If they bite, they are not sucking, they are playing or experimenting. With my daughter if she bit she would automatically be done nursing, so she learned quickly not to bite.

KSharpe I agree with crunchymama. It takes a while for milk to come in and it seems like you produce nothing until it does. You also need to remember that all the statistics that the Dr.s are comparing your baby too, are formula fed babies. FF fed babies gain weight...
