Can any one tell me is a choke chain harmful to my dog?

I just started obedience classes with my 7 month old English Mastiff she is 96 pounds and the dog trainer recommends a choke chain .I feel so mean pulling on this, am i going to choke my dog to get her to learn?

Moonprysm I think it really depends on the personality of your dog. I had a dog who would not learn. Choke chains were an absolutely no-no with her, because she would pull and choke herself until she nearly passed out or threw up. She never learned that if she'd stop...

Moonprysm Absolutely not. I love how he managed to trick the entire United States into letting him go to war with Iraq so that he could raise gas prices, which highly profit his family since they're in the OIL business. It's really, really sad. I think it's even sadder...

Moonprysm It depends. If I've eaten a lot of it lately, I find that I crave it. But if I go several weeks without eating it at all, I can't even think of eating it without my stomach getting into knots. It's very weird.
