Flushing it out - Up or Down

My1Savior @My1Savior (125) • United States 26 May 07

Do you flush the toilet with the lid up or down - or maybe you even flush while you're still sitting on the porcelain throne . . . flush it out - what do you do and why?

tala91285 I've had my moments ^_^ My mom would wake up and go to the bathroom to pee then we'd all wake up hearing her scream, "Who didn't flush the toilet?!" ..although my sister does that more often.. ^_^

Family origins in counties Cavan and Antrim? Anyone else with Irish roots?

My1Savior @My1Savior (125) • United States 17 May 07

I have been working with my family history for almost twenty years. I can trace one line into counties Cavan and Antrim circa 1750. Anyone else with traceable Irish roots? Where and how far back?

emeraldisle Thanks for the offer. I know how much fun it is when dealing with geneology. To be honest not sure where my mom is at with it at the moment. she keeps running into problems due to the last name, Deering. Here in the states it could be Dering, Dearing, Derring...

tala91285 When I'm not at home, I usually flush with the lid down. I don't know why, force of habit I guess. When I'm home though, I flush it lid up unless it's late at night and everyone's asleep. I keep the lid down to lessen the noise.

Then Jesus wept. (John 11:35) Why?

My1Savior @My1Savior (125) • United States 9 May 07

This verse is the shortest verse in the NLT Bible (and other translations). I have started research on a manuscript I'm writing for college and am genuinely interested in other's opinions on why did Jesus weep? Why would God let...

What is too much to pay?

My1Savior @My1Savior (125) • United States 26 May 07

What is too much to pay for gas? If a potato chip manufacturer asked you to pay $15 for a bag of chips - would you? If a fast food restaurant asked you to pay $15 for a meal deal - would you? If a produce company asked you to pay...

flpoolbum Unfortunately, America has a love affair with the automobile. For decades, American auto manufacturers have had no interest in new technologies or fuels. They have a problem with compact cars period. In the late 1970's, when Toyota started selling their cars,...

flpoolbum I feel that good manners are important! Unfortunately, it seems that many of the Baby Boomer's didn't teach the importance of good manners to their children. As a result, a lot of today's new parents are clueless and won't be teaching them to their children....
