Is Paranormal Activity a real story?

A friend of mine told me that Paranormal is really a true story based on a couple as shown in the movie.But I was really doubting that and I don't believe in this stuff. What do you think.Is my friend told the truth to me.

Orbitor I agree with you...boring! It started off slow and the ending was horrible in the theater although I did see the alternated ending which was better (didn't leave you wondering if she was still out there on the loose or not). I did ponder that same question...
