Long Wait for Lost Season 4?

Why has there been such a long wait for lost season 4? its annoying ive nearly forgot whats happened in the last season now

Qlightning I think they waited because the producers did a movie this last year so they took a break from writing lost. Hopefully this wont become a habit like the sopranos!

I have seen many women say, 'I don't love him anymore'. What actually do they mean by it? They loved a person and now they that they do not love him. Is love such a thing which can be switched on-and-off like an electric bulb?...
