What is an appropriate treatment for hiccups?

As far as I know, hiccup is influenced by lack of oxygen in the brain. Though, there are a lot of traditional people claim that you just need to drink a lot of fluid to remove the hiccup. Any idea on how to stop it?

RukzOG Swallow some air until you burp then repeat until you dont hiccup anymore. Try that
