info on zebra finches and if they can live alone

i need to know if on of the finces in a pair dies and they have a nmest of eggs if the other finch will be able to live alone and make it.

banksman Unlikely... a widowed hen may be able to rear a nest of chicks on her own, but as well as the strain on her own well being, she will have competition from other birds for the nesting material. My Zebra finches are rascals for robbing nesting material,...

banksman Zebra finches are gregarious birds, they live in flocks. I have no doubt that all zebra finches would prefer living with good company.
