Why is it that when someone sends a photo on this site its usually a photo of their BMW? is there something special about a BMW, besides their price, which is way over the top. Can someone tell me?

DO YOU THINK SANTACLAUSE IS SECULAR?

humbleme @humbleme (1004) • India 20 Nov 06

IS EVERY RELIGION ELIGIBLE TO GET SANTA CLAUSE GIFTS AND BLESSINGS? Your Opinion Please.

do you think santaclause is secular

bazranz Santa Claus is very secular. He is based on Saint Nicholas, a Christian saint. Many cultures have their own version of a gift bringer. In the UK and many other countries it is Father Christmas who brings the gifts, and that character is not based in...

Fiction is it a reflection of reality?

4urknowledge @4urknowledge (44) • Bahamas 20 Nov 06

I like to read and I really can get my head into a fiction novel, I can sink myself deep into the pages, visualizing all the characters in the various scenes. Dan Brown is a very good author who engages his readers. Imagination is...

bazranz Just to complicate matters even more, I like to read fiction books which are based around real events, for example, A Tale of Two Cities by Dickens. The problem here is tha fact and fiction intertwine, and there can be doubt about which is the factual part...

Do you have a CRT, LCD or Plasma TV?

Which of these TV types do you own? Do you have HDTV emissions in your country already?

8 responses •

bazranz I have a crt monitor. I would like an FST, but too expensive at the moment. Same with the TV. Ours is a standard widescreen, but I would not like a plasma TV, especially with kids around, as they are to easily damaged. Yes, HDTV is available here, but I...

Moderators of myLot

Leonora @Leonora (1633) • Portugal 7 Nov 06

Do you know who the moderators of myLot are? Are they members too, posting as us? On other paid foruns where I use to post, I know who the moderators are, and it is possible to talk to them. And here? Who are they?

8 responses •

bazranz From what I understand, Mylot don't have moderators as such. Their view is that we should be our own moderators, and as such keep it clean ourselves. All this is fine in theory, but to do that, we need to report questionable posts to Mylot, but do they take...

bazranz I agree with you, but does it really matter. I enjoy taking part in reasoned discussions, but if people don't want to rate my response, so be it. There are quite a few parts of Mylot which people exploit, and Mylot does not seems to bother, so perhaps the...
