As I mentioned in the previous discussion, we are not native speakers. Our mother tongue is different from English. We are really struggling to teach my son English. Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

M.-L. @biooss Don't be too ambitious. If the child feels under pressure, he will refuse to learn anything.

M.-L. @biooss If you can afford it, find a native speaker of English as a nanny or an English-only kindergarten. I'm sure there are several in Hong Kong.

Fiacre Banks @biooss I suppose a native speaker is one who has spoken it since birth rather than one who is native to the country where the language originated. But yes, the word native is a bit deceptive here. Curious that I am Irish, live in Ireland and speak Irish but...
