Do you read the prologue in a book?

Almost every fictional book has a prologue in the beginning of the book. Sometimes I read this first before I get to the story. Other times I just skip right over the prologue. Do you read the prologue in a book?

blainem I always read it. Sometimes I will try to skip it and then i feel like I'm missing out on some piece of info that i should know and end up turning back to the front and reading it
