I thought I would start a new discussion on Children with Selective Mutism. I am a mother of a 6 year old daughter who is currently starting treatment for this disorder. I know it is a lonely road and we hurt so much for our mute...

hi i have a son who is now 12 with selective mutism. we frist found out when he was going into 1st grade. in kin. they said he was shy and would get over it. it has been hard at times but is doing alot better now. would love to hear from you nobody in our area...
