WHAT IS THE PERFECT GIFT TO GIVE A SPOUCE WHEN ON A SUPER TIGHT BUDGET?

toots44 @toots44 (240) • United States 13 Nov 06

This year the funds are not like they were the past christmas seasons. Relocating and loss of job wasn't helpful either. So what would be a gift to give a spouce that pretty much has everything, but you still want to touch there...

chicksnheifers Crochet or knit a huge throw (or make one of those fleece tie blankets), make or buy a few cheap candles, and a package of microwave popcorn. When you wrap the gift, include a homemade coupon for a free movie night. When it is redeemed, send any kids you...

Do you live in the country (rural area) or the big city?

annieja @annieja (589) • United States 13 Nov 06

Are you a country mouse or a city mouse? I spent most of my years in the big city, and just 7 years ago moved to a small acreage. We have some livestock, but still commute daily to the big city to work.

13 responses

chicksnheifers I'm a country mouse but the city seems to be creeping out to us. We have a small farm and keep cattle and chickens.

i've done telemarketing a couple years ago, and let me tell u i took alot of verbal beating. what do u think about telemarketing?

14 responses

chicksnheifers I think that telemarketers somehow KNOW when we are in the middle of dinner! Honestly, I don't think telemarketing is a very good way of reaching people. If I want to do business with a company, I'll call them. But no matter how annoying the call is, I...

Have you ever donated blood? What was your reason for choosing to do so? Would you do it again?

5 responses

chicksnheifers I tried giving blood once about 15 years ago. I passed out midway through the pint. It was for a blood drive at the VA hospital. No, I wouldn't do it again unless there was a terrible emergency because I'm a little phobic about it now. My DH has a friend...
