byfaithonly I've only had 3 computers in my life, the first I can't remember what it was but it was really old, a Compaq and now a Dell laptop. I was happy with all of them and I think it really depends on what you mainly use the computer for or want to use it for.

egdcltd These days, there really isn't that much difference between brands. You want to be looking for a computer with the specs to do what you want it for, rather than any particular brand.

oo7josh Go with Dell, they have a little bit better quality than HP and the prices are better. Also Dell has more of a choice compared to HP. Also Dell's support is awesome.
