What do you need to function in the morning?

megamatt @megamatt (14289) • United States 8 Jul 10

I find that I can barely get going during the day, without my morning Pepsi and also without anything to eat. I might as well not even start if I did not have these things. In fact, the few times I have been unfortunate not to...

How do you cope with allergies?

smartie1685 @smartie1685 (450) • United States 26 Feb 07

Our weather here has warmed a lot recently which has made my allergies a lot worse. I start sneezing and feeling generally horrible. I try to take some medication but a lot of it makes me really sleepy. I usually take Equate...

whacks We just use herbs and not the processed herbal medicine being peddled almost everywhere here in our place as we are near the market. The problem with just using these is that we do not know the right quantity to be used and what are they really for. They might...

danishcanadian There is no perfect age. People need to get ready when it is right for them. My sister and brother-in-law were married when she was 19 and he was 21, and they've been married for almost 10 years. They have a wonderful marriage.

LadyLeene @LadyLeene (584) • United States 25 Feb 07

This is mainly a question for people who have been through things were they really felt helpless, and I'm not talking about just the general depression issue....many of us have that. I am asking the survivors of trauma: those who...

beautifulceiling It's kind of hard to answer because if I hadn't felt powerless, I would have stopped it. But maybe that does answer the question. Being powerless goes more to the root of it so that probably goes deeper to the source of the pain.

Have you ever been to Mt. Rainier in WA state?

sarahlee13 @sarahlee13 (878) • United States 10 Dec 06

I grew up in Washington state and could see the mountian from home. It was beautiful. On family outings we would sometimes drive up there and see it up close. What a sight! Have you ever seen it or been there?

Does anyone have Night Sweats since starting EffexorXR?

cybergwen @cybergwen (158) • United States 25 Feb 07

I had never had them until I started Effexor. For those that don't know, night sweats are just what they imply, sweats at night. Now that I have upped my dosage, they are a lot worse. I also started Remeron too, so it could be...

lauriefnp I responded to your other discussion. Remeron is most likely causing the severe night sweats; this is a known side effect of Remeron. It may be that your body is just getting used to the medication and the biochemical changes that are going on. Usually it is...

lauriefnp Remeron is known to cause severe night sweats in some people. If you recently began taking the medication, give it a few weeks to see if the night sweats decrease in intensity; your body may be just adjusting to the medication. If it continues and is...

What was the dosage of Effexor XR that your doc started you out on?

funeralhair @funeralhair (24) • United States 22 Jan 07

My doctor started me out at 75mg of Effexor XR per day, but to be honest, I'm not noticing much of a difference. I was on Lexapro before, and I did see a drastic change in my mood and how I handled everything. But now that I'm...
