being a step mom

anyone have any advice on how to be a good step mom to some out of control children who are not always like that, just some of the time, but when they get out of control, they get out of control. thank you all in advance.

forevermagical2007 My issue is that the children's mother passed away, and he was left a widower, so i can not talk to her about anything, or get any advice from her. That's why I am stuck in between a rock ans a hard place.
