what can you say about uniforms in school?

i talked with several foreign friends who gave me the same opinion that uniforms for students are unnecessary and just adding up in the costs. for some reason i think it is esp to those who cannot afford it. there are schools...

goukaku ya, in my country too... in indonesia student will wearthe uniform for 12 years long.. i think uniform for students are unnecessary... im bored wear the uniform... but in asia uniforms for student are a culture...
