What can you do about smelly feet?

I seldom use closed shoes for the reason of smelly feet. I don't know how to fight it, I even tried putting foot powder but doesn't give me good results. Any tips on avoiding having smelly feet? The only solution that I can think...

wittynet Hi, @oo0kulasa0oo! I agree! Alum is very effective. @hanagi, you can make liquid alum. It's more user friendly.
